One of Boston’s most beautiful spaces will be filled with music in a free lunchtime concert series every Friday throughout the summer. The Boston Public Library courtyard, one of the best-kept secrets in town, will host music that ranges from jazz to classical and from a cappella to operetta. The series delivers entertainment to music lovers through August 27 in Copley Square. All concerts are free and begin at 12:30 p.m.
On August 20, the American Century Music will be performing again. American Century Music features early string quartets by Samuel Barber and Charles Ives, and the charming Nocturne and Scherzo for flute and string quartet by Bostonian Arthur Foote.
The Boston Public Library’s partners in making these free lunchtime musical interludes available to the public are American Century Music, the Boston Conservatory, the New England Conservatory of Music, and JazzBoston.

Ted’s Tips – Weekly wedding insights from Westin’s wedding planner Ted Daniels…
BRIDE & GROOM SEATING
“The traditional long head table is out for many reasons. You can only talk to the person that is seated to your left or right, your attendants don’t get to sit with their dates or significant others and the table usually sits empty after dinner. The bride and groom should either sit at a sweetheart table or a round table with their family or best man and maid of honor and their dates.”
