However, guests don’t attend a wedding to receive a gift; they are there to celebrate the couple and to have fun. The majority of guests would prefer to have more food or drinks rather than a favor.”

This weekend, celebrate beer, music and fall in New England at the 21st annual Harpoon Octoberfest hosted by Harpoon Brewery! The two day festival will feature an array of fresh brews including IPA and UFO Hefeweizen, hearty German food prepared by local restaurants and German Oompah music. The celebration will take place at the Harpoon Brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood located on Boston’s waterfront at 306 Northern Ave. on Friday from 5:30 to 11 p.m and Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.  Free shuttles are available from South Station to transport to the brewery.

CANDLES
“From votives to candle sticks to pillar candles, the more candles on the table the better! However, you must be very careful and aware of all fire department regulations. In most locations, the candle flame needs to be inside and below the container.”

Are you looking for some Sunday fun for the whole family? Enjoy breakfast at Boston’s most beloved baseball field, Fenway Park, on September 26th from 8:30-11:00 am. MENU CARDS
“Unless you are serving food that your guests will not be familiar with, I would not recommend having menu cards at the table. When guests read them, if they even read them at all, the cards usually end up cluttering the table.”

Are you looking for some family fun and wild adventure? Visit the Franklin Park Zoo and see hundreds of exotic animals from around the world!  You can even stay for lunch at the southwestern-themed Giddy Up Grill concession stand, which has delicious food for the whole family!  The zoo is located at One Franklin Park Road in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.  Hours through September 30th are Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm, weekends 10am to 6pm.  Starting October 1st, the zoo is open daily from 11am to 3pm.  Admission for adults is $14, $8 for children and kids under age 2 are free.

“Napkins should be a neutral color, folded flat and placed on either the base plate or over the forks. Napkins should not be used for color décor.”
