Boston welcomes with open soup spoons the return of what is the 29th Annual Chowderfest on July 5, 2010. The event is a local favorite, as well as an opportunity for visitors to sample some “wicked good chowdah” (2,000 pounds of wicked good chowdah to be exact) from some of the best restaurants New England has to offer.  Visitors to the event travel from canopy tent to tent in search of their personal favorite chowder and then vote to award one bowl the esteemed title of “Boston’s Best Chowder”.  This year’s title is up for grabs, as last year’s winner has been retired to the prestigious Chowder Hall of Fame (an honor given to restaurants for winning Chowderfest three times). The event will be held in the Plaza at City Hall from 11 A.M to 6 P.M. rain or shine and cost is $7 for children under twelve and $10 for adults. Come and sample an array of authentic New England clam chowder and vote for your favorite!
