Luis Melendez’s work, while less famous then his contemporary Goya, is recognized as a paragon of still life artistry. His astonishing work will be on display at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston from February 2 – May 9, 2010.
The exhibition will demonstrate Melendez’s skill of capturing exquisite details of everyday inanimate objects through the use of color, light, and texture. Many of the artist’s American works will be showcased with selections from abroad to highlight the extraordinarily talents of the artist, Luis Melendez.
