Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is a perfect choice to enjoy wonderful art in a beautiful and unusual setting. I absolutely love coming here. Only steps away from the Museum of Fine Arts it’s a refreshing change from the very large art museum.

Three floors of galleries surround a garden courtyard blooming with life. The galleries are filled with paintings, sculpture, tapestries, furniture, and decorative arts from cultures spanning thirty years.   Ms. Gardner collected and carefully displayed a collection of more than 2,500 objects.

I love walking through the sun and flower filled courtyard. You can easily spend two hours taking it all in. They also offer jazz and classical concerts which I would highly recommend.

They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am until 5pm.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for Seniors and free for persons under 18 years of age.  Also, visitors named “Isabella” are admitted for free as well.
